Property Loss or Damage Claims
  • Safety First – Take steps to ensure the area and people are safe.
  • Call Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulance if required.
  • Mitigate the loss – take steps to minimise the damage. If it’s glass breakage, storm damage or a break-in you may need to call a supplier who can carry out a “make safe”. Some of our Insurers have After Hours Claims Service.
  • Take photos – pictures do tell a thousand words
  • Contact Us – we’ll provide you the correct claim form and let you know what information you’ll need to provide.
  • Information examples
    • Fully completed claim form
    • Repair or replacement quotes
    • Proof of ownership (for stolen or lost items)
Liability Claims
  • Safety First – Take steps to ensure the area and people are safe.
  • For personal injuries seek medical attention without delay.
  • Do not admit liability, that will be determined by the Insurer
  • Notify Us of the Incident.
  • If the Claimant makes a claim against you, please Notify Us.
  • Information examples
    • Fully completed Claim Form
    • Copy of any Contractual Agreements between you and the potential Claimant
    • Take photos of the location of the incident happened– but be sensitive to the situation.
    • Relevant Incident Report forms
Motor Claims
  • Safety First – Take steps to ensure the area and people are safe.
  • Call Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulance if required.
  • Information – Third party/ies Name, Address and Phone number/s
  • Take photos
    • Front & back of the Third Party’s Driver’s Licence
    • Location of the Accident
    • Damage to your vehicle
    • Damage to other vehicle/s (including Number Plate) or other damaged property
  • Contact Us – we’ll provide you the correct claim form and let you know what information you’ll need to provide.

    • Fully completed claim form
    • Repair quote if drivable
    • Photos (see above)
Personal Accident Claims
  • Safety First – Take steps to ensure the area and people are safe.
  • For personal injuries seek medical attention without delay.
  • Notify Us of the Incident
  • Information examples:
    • Fully completed Claim Form
    • Copy of any Contractual Agreements between you and the potential Claimant
    • Take photos of the location of the incident happened– but be sensitive to the situation.
    • Relevant Incident Report forms
Travel Insurance Claims
  • For emergency Medical or Flight situations call the number on your Emergency Assist card. Ensure you:
    • Retain your Claims Reference Number
    • Keep all relevant your receipts
  • If possible, cc info@eainsurance.com.au in on correspondence with the Claims Department
  • If you’re claiming upon your return, Contact Us – we’ll provide you the correct claim form and let you know what information you’ll need to provide.
